Dron UJ-22 or A-22 aircraft: what was attacking the Shakhanedov plant in Tatarstan (video)

The mysterious aircraft with long wings and wheel chassis slowly flew, crashed into the building, caused a powerful explosion. The Russians have two main versions. On the morning of April 2, an unknown drone attacked the territory of the plant in the Russian city of Elabuga (a special economic zone "Alabuga"), where the Russians collect shock drones "Shahaned" Iranian development. The version of which aircraft could do this was expressed by the Russian resource Mash.

According to a source based on a video from the city of the event, the plant attacked the Ukrainian drone UJ-22 Airborne. According to the data given in the report, the Ukrainian manufacturer UKRJET is capable of carrying at least 20 kg of explosives, has a wingspan of 4. 6 m and a flight range up to 800 km (distance to the site of damage from the controlled territory of Ukraine more than 1200 km).

The Russian Telegram-Channel "Voenny Zedomist" expresses the version that the Civil A-22 produced by the Ukrainian company "Airpact", converted into a drone, participated in the attack. Comparative photos can see the fuselage of both models, as well as a fuzzy image of UAV, which exploded in Elabuz. The nasal part of the latter seems somewhat raised up, as in A-22. The body lines are also more reminiscent of this model: the wide front with a sharp narrowing to the tail.

The UJ-22 Airborne drone body seems straight and has no sharp changes in the angles in length. However, the video is not too clear, and the forms of aircraft can resemble each other, so there may be some other options. As it was reported earlier, in 2021 the Ukrainian enterprise Aeroprakt released a thousandth Suffler Aroprakt-22 aircraft. It was noted that at that time 601 aircraft of models A-22/22L2 and 399 aircraft A-22LS were manufactured.

Suffler A-22 aircraft gained popularity among small aviation pilots due to small dimensions, cost-effectiveness and simplicity of construction. Its length is 6. 20 meters, wingspan - 9. 55 meters, runway - almost 450 kg. Fuel consumption - ten liters of gasoline per hour. The range of 90 liters is almost 800 km. The cost of such aircraft in Ukraine is from 45 thousand euros, earlier almost all samples were exported. The development of UJ-22 Airborne was also reported in 2021.

The UAV was created as a purely military shock drone and designed to defeat the enemy armored vehicles. UkrJeth presented it at the International Weapons and Security Exhibition - 2021. The drone is capable of carrying unmanaged aircraft on board, and the developers have finalized the reset system, and now it can be dumped from 82 mm mines. In addition to weapons, the drone is capable of carrying a camera and an optical-electronic station.
