Lavrov put forward the conditions for ending the war in Ukraine: the NSDC reacted

Share: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov made a statement about the need for so-called "demilitarization and denazification" as conditions for ending the war. Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Combating Disinformation, emphasized that these statements are just another way for the Russians to try to mitigate the consequences of the war for themselves.   Kovalenko drew attention to the fact that the statements of the Russians once again have no real signs of a desire to achieve peace.

In particular, there is no mention of a ceasefire. The head of the CPD wrote about this in his Telegram. He emphasized that the militarization of Ukraine took place precisely as a result of Russian aggression. And it is a strong army that is the main guarantee of the existence of the Ukrainian state in the future.

Kovalenko also emphasized that if the rhetoric of the Kremlin's top officials does not change, it means that Vladimir Putin's regime and Russia are still not suffering critical losses, and the pressure needs to be increased.

"Destruction of the enemy's oil refining and energy industry in response to his actions, increasing the intensity of strikes at the expense of Western weapons, strengthening sanctions and the lack of economic support for Moscow by China is a necessity," the head of the CPD said. According to Kovalenko, "Russia must become a territory of war, otherwise it will transfer the war to the territory of NATO countries.

" According to him, it is important to localize the threat that Russia currently represents by destroying their ability to finance wars. The Center for Combating Disinformation also reacted to the statement of the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry. They called Lavrov's words "an imitation of Russia's readiness for peace negotiations.

" "These statements by Lavrov show that the tactics of the Russian Federation remain unchanged - to try to convince the US of its readiness for negotiations, without taking any actual steps towards peace. The goal of these actions is also unchanged - to delay the introduction of new sanctions as long as possible and at the same time continue the war," the CPD said in a statement.
