Five large landing ships - French Mistral, Spanish Juan Carlos, Dutch Johan de Witt, and two American ships - USSP and USS NEW YORK, have participated in the history of the region. In the Baltic Sea, the largest NATO Baltops 24 military exercises have been coming to the end, which last from June 5 to June 20. These ships were designed to replace outdated Tarawa landing ships and are intended for transportation and planting of marine infantry expedition units, as well as to support various amphibious operations. The ship's motor installation is two steam turbine engines with a capacity of 70,000 hp, which provide a maximum speed of up to 22 units. The USS NEW YORK (LPD-21) ship is the fifth landing transport dock in San Antonio. Ships are capable of carrying 16 NH90 or Tiger helicopters, four landing catamarans of EDA-R/S, a Leclerc tanks battalion with 40 cars or 70 combat vehicles, including 13 major combat tanks and 450 soldiers.
