Deputy Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Ivan Gavrylyuk reported that the rifles will be arrived in the first place. UAR-15 was created under Nativsky caliber 5,56x45 as a replacement for Soviet vending machines Kalashnikov.
The Department of Military Technical Policy, the Development of Weapons and Military equipment of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine say that the UAR-15 machine has a number of advantages over Kalashnikov's automatic machine: the UAR-15 rifle has Picatini strips on the upper part of the barrel and tap. They can be set sights or other accessories. The barrel resource is about 10,000 shots. They produce UAR-15 in Ukraine with partial involvement of foreign components.
