Armed Forces received from the Czech Republic 26 SAU Dana-M2: What is known about them (video)

In addition to self -propelled artillery installations, Ukraine also received specialized shells with a distance of up to 25 km. Ukraine has replenished its military arsenal through the supply from the Czech Republic-26 recent self-propelled artillery units Dana-M2 caliber 152 mm. This information was confirmed on the TV Army. Dana-M2 is an advanced version of the Czechoslovak wheel artillery installation SHKH Vz. 77 Dana, which is already used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

In addition to the installations themselves, Ukraine also received specialized shells from the Czech Republic with a firing range up to 25 km, which complements their functionality. Although Dana installations were created in the late 1970s in Czechoslovakia, all models put in Ukraine are new and have not been used before. In addition to the equipment, the Ukrainian forces received improved cabins and fire control systems for these artillery installations.

These artillery installations are armed with a 152 mm gun and a large caliber machine gun 12. 7 mm. It is important to note that Ukraine has also launched the production of shells of this caliber, which provides proper ammunition for the entire arsenal, including outdated models of Soviet development, such as 2C1 "Acacia" and 2C3 "Acacia". The shooting range standard shells is up to 18. 7 km, and with reactive - up to 25 km.

The firing rate reaches 5 shots per minute, and the ammunition consists of 50 shells. To manage these installations requires a crew of 5 people. The SAU is mounted on the Tatra eight-wheeled chassis and equipped with a Tatra engine operating with a 5-east gearbox. They are able to accelerate up to 25 km/h on the road and up to 90 km/h on the road.
