Latvia President Edgar Rinkevich has stated that the EU and NATO need to prepare for a long war in Ukraine. Western countries are obliged to respond to the call of President Vladimir Zelensky to provide more weapons to Ukraine. The Russian Federation is preparing for a long war against Ukrainians. The victory of Ukraine will help to protect peace in Europe. This was stated by President of Latvia Edgar Rinkevich in an interview with Associated Press.

He called on the West countries to continue supplying weapons to Ukraine, otherwise Russia can win and receive green light to threats to other countries in the future. "It is important to really fight for international peace and peace in Europe, because if we stop Russia in Ukraine, then Russia will not be able to challenge other countries," said President of Latvia.

He pointed to the devastating role that the Russian group of mercenaries of PEC "Wagner" plays in Africa, as well as at a meeting of Russia with Hamas representatives. In his opinion, in the interests of the security of NATO countries "consider both cases equally". "I also think that it will be much easier for us to keep peace in Europe if Ukraine succeeds than if we let out Ukraine, or if that is done, let's let the situation in the Middle East get out of control," he said politician.

Rinkevich noted that Ukrainian soldiers are fighting "very brave" and the West is obliged to respond to the call of President Vladimir Zelensky to provide more weapons, "because we did not give as much as we should. " According to him, the Russian Federation mobilizes its economy, resources and military equipment for a very long war. "She tried to win the war quickly, but she realized that she could not, and now Moscow wants to" strangle "Ukraine," said Edgar Rinkevich.

President of Latvia has stated that the EU and NATO need to prepare for a long war in Ukraine. "The EU realized that we needed more defense and armed forces," he said. "And at the moment I would like this process to become a little faster. But, nevertheless, these things are finally shifted from a dead point. " According to him, many experts and officials say that Russian President Vladimir Putin hopes to survive the Western support of Ukraine in the Long War.
