Underground command points. Metinvest Akhmetov launched production for the Armed Forces of steel headquarters

The Metinvest Group, as part of the initiative, Rinat Akhmetov's steel front has established the production of steel underground command points that protect the personnel from shelling. They also provide comfortable conditions for the Armed Forces Command on the front line. This is a new modification of already known steel "hits" from Metinvest. This was reported by the company's press service.

The first steel headquarters, designed for 30 servicemen, has already been handed over to the Land Forces of Ukraine and installed on one of the hottest directions of the front. The design unfolds and collapses in a short time, and with proper installation provides protection against shelling of artillery of any caliber.

The steel headquarters consists of five or six (depending on the configuration) of individual mobile bins: these are connected underground shelters that perform different functions - from the living space and the sanitary area to the work headquarters of the command. Thus, a whole underground complex of buildings is formed.

The headquarters are equipped with all the necessary equipment for comfortable stay: sleeping areas and working areas, showers and boilers, heating, lighting and communication systems, storage of weapons and personal belongings and electronic equipment. This makes it possible to use the underground headquarters not only as a shelter and a place of rest, but also as a work area for command on the front line.

New command points are based on the traditional model of the hopper-"Kryivka", more than 330 units of which have already transferred Metinvest to various brigades of the Armed Forces since 2022. The design of the standard steel hopper was finalized for use in the permanent headquarters, the dimensions were increased to 6 meters long and 2. 3 meters high. Specialists of metinvest enterprises spend about 400 hours for the manufacture of one such design.
