According to one of the US officials, the collision of a Russian aircraft from the US UAV in the air occurred about 72 km southwest of the Crimean peninsula. According to the official, the drone fell about 112 km southwest of the Crimea, having managed to fly from the occupied territory of Ukraine.
The publication also writes that the coordinator of the US National Security Council on Strategic Communications John Kirby said on March 14 that Washington was able to protect his "assets" related to the dropped drone. However, he did not resort to details. "And this is the property of the United States. We obviously do not want anyone to get it in our own hands," Kirby said.
Earlier on March 15, the Secretary of the Security Council Mykola Patrushev stated that the Russian Federation intends to raise the American MQ-9 drone from the Black Sea. According to him, the whipped UAV is an alleged evidence that the United States is actually involved in the war in Ukraine. The media also modeled UAV damage over the Black Sea.
