The ratings are growing: Putin won't focus on the war in Ukraine during the election - isw

According to analysts, the war in Ukraine during the presidential campaign will only be discussed if the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces on the front. The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin during the future election campaign will avoid concentration of attention on the war in Ukraine. Such a conclusion was presented by experts of the Institute of War Study (ISW) in the report of November 8.

Analysts pointed out that, according to Russian media, Russian President Vladimir Putin will not concentrate the attention of his presidential campaign in 2024 in the war in Ukraine, but rather focus on the so -called "stability of Russia" and criticism of the event.

The Russian opposition edition of Meduza reported that two sources close to the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation said that the presidential campaign aimed to show Putin as a leader who made Russia "Ostaiv Oblique". Meduza sources noted that Putin ratings are growing after the event criticism, propagandists will tell Russian society about "difficulties" in Western countries and the alleged inability of the United States to support Ukraine and Israel at the same time.

The war in Ukraine during the election campaign will be discussed only if Russia is very serious success at the front, not the continuation of the "positional war". According to the Kremlin, the Kremlin's party "Edinia Russia" allegedly realized that the use of the theme of war in Ukraine in its election campaigns before the election to the State Duma in September 2023 was ineffective and counterproductive.

However, as ISW analysts point out, the concern of the Kremlin and the "only Russia" leadership for internal support of the war does not indicate that this party or Putin's dominance in Russian politics faces this party or dominance A potential threat in the upcoming presidential election. We will remind that on October 11 it was reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin would probably not be able to carry out a second large -scale mobilization before the election in March 2024.
