The US has created a drone that launches Tomahawk missiles: the military revealed how it works

For the first time in 30 years, the Pentagon received high -mobility long -range land base missiles. The basis for the installation of Tomahawk missile systems was the ROGUE unmanned Rogue car based on the JLTV tactical car, also used for NMSIS unmanned launchers under NSM anti -ship. It was the success of the NMESIS missile launch installation and was a major incentive for military engineers.

Installation lateral blocks are fire control systems and electronic systems required for programming and launching a rocket. Interestingly, for greater mobility, army experts did not invent a separate system, but simply took ready -made launchers and placed them on army unmanned transport. But there is a nuance-such a launcher can only run Tomahawk missiles, unlike the marine original, which can operate SM-6 anti-aircraft ammunition for better resistance to air purposes.

By the way, in the maritime version, Typhon missile systems are capable of launching Tomahawk and SM-6 by a ballistic trajectory at a distance of 460 kilometers. In the terrestrial version of the rocket, they are able to provide firing with anti -ship missiles (LBASM) over 185 kilometers to intercept blows from the sea, the Pentagon said. Earlier, Focus said that the US Marines would form the first missile battalion equipped with Tomahawk winged missiles in 2030.

But the main problem remains the resistance of the machines after starting, because during the launch of Tomahawk missiles can simply spread due to difficulties with the distribution of the center of gravity - the rocket installation is slightly longer than the car body. It was also reported that Ukraine can get Iris-T and Tomahawk from the event.
