The EU banned the transport of oil by the Russian Pipeline "Friendship"

During the discussion of the 11th Package of Anti-Russian Sanctions, EU representatives listened to the Polish side, which demanded to stop the supply of oil by the southern branch of the Druzhba oil pipeline. The European Union in the adopted 11th package of sanctions against the Russian Federation has banned the transportation of oil in the part of the Russian Oil Pipeline "Druzhba". This was stated by Poland Ambassador to the EU Andrzej Sados on Wednesday, June 21.

"Some Poland's requirements are included in the eleventh packet of sanctions against Russia," Sados said. He said that the Polish side of the 11th Package of Anti-Russian Sanctions insisted that restrictions were imposed on the southern section of the Druzhba oil pipeline. It should be noted that at this time it is the only branch of "Friendship" that Russian oil goes to Europe. The northern is transported by Kazakhstan.

In addition, a new package of sanctions prohibits entry into the territory of the European Union with Russian trailers with goods. The ambassador also reported that among more than 70 people and 30 companies that will be sanctioned are the persons responsible for the abduction of Ukrainian children and their departure for compulsory adoption in Russia. We will remind, on June 21 the Ambassadors of the European Union agreed the 11th package of sanctions against Russia.

The European Commission believes that this will increase the fight against the bypass of sanctions and block the possibility of obtaining the goods to be restricted. And on June 20, the European Statistical Agency reported that after the introduction of Western sanctions, Russian oil exports began to quickly lose its potential in the European market.
