The President awarded state awards to energy workers who restore electricity supply after Russian shelling

Volodymyr Zelenskyi noted that now every job and every specialty of Ukrainian energy sector workers is very important. The President emphasized that Ukrainian energy workers are injured during work and even give their lives, healing Ukraine after enemy terror. Our country will always remember their actions.

The head of state awarded the Order of Merit of the III degree to Artur Obolenskyi, an electrical fitter of Chernihivoblenergo, who, despite being fired upon by enemy UAVs and wounded, continued to eliminate damage to overhead power lines and provided assistance to injured colleagues, and to the head of the Sumy linear division of Ukrenergo, Serhiy Tytarenko, thanks to whom he managed to restore the second power source for Kharkiv and Donetsk regions.

Eight more energy workers, one of whom was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage III degree by the President. Volodymyr Zelensky presented the award to the wife of the driver of the Chernihiv district "Chernihivoblenergo" Anatoly Savchenko, who died on October 10 this year as a result of being hit by an enemy UAV during the liquidation of accident damage in the Chernihiv region.
