Share: In the Ternopil Region, a group of military personnel suspected of kidnapping and brutally torturing civilians and military personnel was detained. As reported by TSN, with reference to their own sources in the police, their actions could be aimed at illegal enrichment under the guise of mobilization activities. According to TSN, the suspects allegedly acted on behalf of military structures, but no documents were found that gave them the right to conduct such activities.

The publication's sources note that the motives of the military remain unclear, and the exact circumstances of their actions are currently under investigation. In particular, the police of the Ternopil region said that the suspects used particularly cruel methods. One of the victims said: "One of them took out a gun and shot near my hand. They loaded me naked into a bus and took me away. They asked if I could offer them anything, if I wanted to see my wife and children.

" The man was kept in inhumane conditions for three days, forced to run in front of a car and beaten.

At the same time, on social networks, the Third Assault Brigade assured that it is ready to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and facilitate a full and objective investigation and added: "We condemn violence against civilians and will contribute to the prosecution of anyone who committed illegal actions. " The brigade's statement also emphasized that it is one of the lowest crime-prone units in the military and maintains strict standards for the treatment of civilians.
