Russian President Volodymyr Putin said that Russia was "forced" to decide on the completion of the grain agreement, as Western countries blocked the compliance of Russian requirements. In addition, he stated that the West had deceived Russia about the humanitarian goals of the grain agreement.

According to him, the termination of the agreement did not affect global food markets, as prices continue to decline. But Moscow is ready to restore the agreement, but immediately after the removal of restrictions on the export of Russian agricultural products.
