"Front line is not as static as Putin believes": The Russian Federation feels the pressure of the Armed Forces - isw

According to analysts, the counterattack of Ukraine in the north of Kharkiv region forced Russian troops to redeploy some of their units. But Ukraine's ability to carry out more powerful and organized steps is influenced by military support of the event. The arrival of Western aid to the leading allowed the Ukrainian troops to stabilize the critical areas of the front.

Since mid -May, the Armed Forces have made tactically important and successful localized counterattacks in the north of the Kharkiv region and in the direction of Kreminna. This is stated in the report of the Institute of War Study (ISW) for July 10.

Analysts noted that the Ukrainian forces have not yet counterattack on a scale that is necessary to intercept the initiative on the battlefield, but these tactical counterattacks increase the cost of Russian forces that continue to adhere to their slow and grueling offensive theory. The counterattack of Ukraine in the north of Kharkiv region forced Russian troops to redeploy some of their units.

ISW recorded the transfer of units of the 810th Maritime Infantry Brigade and a battalion tactical group of the 9th OMSBR (1st Army Corps "DNR") in the north of Kharkiv region in mid-June. Other parts of the 810 and 9th OMSBR remained under the wells of the Kherson region and the Toretsk Donetsk region, respectively. Experts also noted that the Russian command sprays its airborne forces (VDV) along the front line.

In particular, the units of the 137th Regiment of the Air Force of the 106th Division are fighting in the Kherson region, while other units of the regiment are fighting near the Siversk Donetsk region. This scattered deployment indicates that the Russian forces feel pressure from Ukrainian counterattack, which shows that the front line is not as static as Putin believes.
