The A-50 Russian troops were shot together with the Il-22M air command point that accompanied it-and this is the best advertising of Western weapons. This was stated by a spokesman for the Air Force of Ukraine Yuri Ignat in an interview with the Center for Combating Misinformation. Information about the whipped A-50 and IL-22m11 appeared on the evening of January 14. On board A-50 were mostly young officers and colonel.
"The destruction of the A-50 is also in addition to IL-22, which works in the connection-this is the first time in history, the aircraft was destroyed. The Western world applauds," Ignat said, adding that such operations serve as the best advertising of foreign weapons. The destruction of the A-50, among other things, became a serious image blow to the Kremlin's head of the Kremlin Vladimir Putin.
He called this aircraft a "fatty goal" and specified that in the air forces dreamed of destroying such a plane. "You do not imagine what joy was among those who did it, what joy was at the team point. It really inspires," Ignat said. Recall that former US Army Commander in Europe, Lieutenant General Ben Hodges explained how the Armed Forces was shot down by a long-range A-50 radar detection.
