83% of Ukrainians believe in victory: weapons are put more than negotiations - a survey

Most of the respondents will consider the complete expulsion of the invaders from the territory of Ukraine and the restoration of the borders of January 2014. More than 80% of Ukrainians have a faith in victory in the war against Russia. Most believe that this will happen in 1-2 years, and it is likely that this permission to beat the Russian territory with Western weapons.

These are the results of the survey, which from September 20 to September 26, 2024 conducted the sociological service of the Razumkov Center within the framework of the Program of Promotion of Public Activity "Join!", Finished by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and is carried out by Pact in Ukraine. Of the surveyed, 83% believe in the victory of Ukraine in the war: 60% were answered "yes", and another 23% - "rather so".

The most positive answers were received from the residents of the Center (88%) and the country (87%). In the east and south, the figures are slightly smaller: 75% and 72%, respectively. The most negative answers were given in the south - 21%. With the fact that the victory will come in 1-2 years, 39% of respondents agreed. 19. 5% of respondents believe in victory by the end of this year. From 3 to 5 years the war will continue to think of 15 % of Ukrainians, more than 5 years - 5 %.

They do not believe that they will victory for their lives, 2% of those polled. 47% of Ukrainians replied that the permission from the Western countries without restrictions to beat their weapons in the Russian Federation will help victory in the war faster than negotiations. Negotiations between Ukraine and Russia consider 29% of respondents an effective way to reach peace.

38% of respondents will be considered a complete expulsion of Russian troops from all over Ukraine and the restoration of borders as of January 2014. As the destruction of the Russian army and the uprising or disintegration within the Russian Federation, 17% of respondents see the victory. The expulsion of Russians from all over the Crimea will be considered a victory of 7. 5 %, the end of the war, even without the return of the occupied territories - 8 %.

Sociologists point out that the most optimistic expectations of Ukrainians for victory were in February-March 2023. At that time, exactly half believed that Ukraine would win the Russian Federation by the end of the year. The Face-To-Face survey was conducted only in the territories controlled by the Government of Ukraine and on which there are no fighting. It was attended by 2 016 respondents from the age of 18. The theoretical error does not exceed 2. 3%.

We will remind, from September 1 to September 6, sociologists asked 1,022 citizens of Ukraine if they would go to the US or EU, provided they are easy to obtain citizenship. Among the men, 70% of respondents wanted to stay. According to a survey of Gradus Research on Independence Day of Ukraine in August 2024, more than half of Ukrainians believed that the war would be the impetus to strengthen the country's defense capability.
