Euromobilization: As the Allies of Ukraine will "swing" Trump before his meeting with Putin

To spread: On August 13, on August 13, President Zelensky and a number of European leaders with Donald Trump will be held in online format. Whether the White House head listened to the arguments of Kyiv and his allies before meeting Putin in Alaska, he found out the focus.   Donald Trump stated that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky will not be at the Summit with Putin, which will be held on Friday, August 15, at Alaska.

According to the White House head, he expects his meeting with the Russian ruler will be "good", but does not exclude negative scenarios. At the same time, the President of the United States said twice, noting that he was "going to Russia" for negotiations with its constant leader. At the same time, according to German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, virtual negotiations of European leaders and Trump will take place on Wednesday, August 13.

"We exchanges our views with President Trump and Vice Vice Vice Vance, as well as with the heads of state and governments of Finland, France, Great Britain, Italy, Poland, Ukraine, with the President of the European Commission, the President of the EU Council and the NATO Secretary General," the head of the German government said.   Meanwhile, the Politico newspaper has learned the details of negotiations on Wednesday with the participation of Zelensky, Trump and a number of European leaders.

Referring to a spokesman for the German government, the publication states: “Urgent remote discussions before the expected meeting of the US Presidents and the Russian Federation on Alaska initiated Friedrich Merz. Leaders should discuss pressure options on Russia, the issues of occupied territories of Ukraine, security guarantees for Kiev and stages of potential peace talks.

” In general, on August 13, Politico informs, three consecutive video conferences will take place: first at 2:00 pm there will be clock negotiations with the participation of Vladimir Zelensky and leaders of Germany, France, Britain, Poland, Italy, Finland, the European Commission and the European Council. Further at 3:00 pm there will be another discussion - with President Zelensky, EU leaders and Donald Trump and Jai Di Jens.

And in the end, at about 5 pm, another discussion starts with the leaders of the "decisive" coalition under the chairmanship of Germany, the United Kingdom and France.   It is known that the US Vice president, Jay Di, Vance, has suggested that neither Kiev nor Moscow will be satisfied with the settlement of the war to which they could come through the White House.

The factor of Europe for Ukraine in its war with the Russian Federation is critical, the political scientist, director of the Institute of Socio-Political Project "Dialogue" Andriy Miselyuk. In particular, in the conversation with focus, the expert states: “It is very important that European leaders, together with Ukraine and the United States, are at least involved in the preparation for Trump's meeting with Putin.

But the problem is that Europe is not so able to rebuild so quickly to guarantee some important security issues for Ukraine on a level with the United States, etc. But of course, Europeans understand that the next target for Russia is Europe, so they coordinate their position with Ukraine, which has long been such a target. "  The consolidated voice of Ukraine and Europe, says Andriy Miseluk, can eventually be heard by Donald Trump at the virtual summit on August 13.

“The participants of tomorrow dialogue with tandem Trump/Vance will, in particular, Merz, Starmer and Macron. From this three, two represent nuclear countries, and one heads the government of the state, which is the greatest economic power of Europe. Friedrich Merz and measles older consistently and severely defend their positions - it is convinced that it will be when talking to the American side.

On the other hand, we can mention that for the first time Mr Macron declared the possibility of sending European troops to Ukraine last year and since this issue has not yet been resolved, it is obvious how they are "decisive" and capable. Therefore, there are really problems with Europeans, ”the political scientist notes. Meanwhile, in his opinion, Europeans should also be present at a peaceful table: "Europe can be represented either by Merz, an old man or a macron, or a premiere of Italy Ms.

Meloni, with whom Trump has, so to speak, mutual chemistry. "  The absence of President Zelensky at the Trump -Putin summit on Alaska is rather a positive aspect, says Andrei Miselyuk. "This is a minus one threat, because if the US and the Russian Federation, having previously agreed, would have been sitting on Zelensky for two, he would not have a lot of chances to resist such a strong pressure," the expert argues.

At the same time, the political scientist, expert of the Ukrainian Prism Council, Alexander Kraev, in conversation with focus, makes the following emphasis: “Trump has already said that the first thing he will do after meeting with Putin - this will call European leaders. And this is the first, by the way, what his administration did after Vitcoff came from Moscow. So, it is obvious that the White House is tuned for dialogue.

Moreover, he sharply loved Europe, but because Trump understood very simple logic: if he wants to get out of European affairs and leave them himself with his problems, then they need to be friends with them, because they will not be able to "throw" just like that.

"  Trump, the political scientist notes, clearly understanding that Ukraine's security will guarantee Europeans who need time, "will defend their Nobel Prize to the end", that is, will not leave the peaceful-co-management process against Ukraine. "But Trump needs to help Europeans in this, and specifically, literally covered him.

Although Europe is not present at the negotiations, it is obvious that it is involved in the preparation of the summit on Alaska and the final result, ”Alexander Kraev emphasizes.   Instead, the absence at the Trump-Putin summit of Vladimir Zelensky considers the minus a nuance. “When the Russians offered this meeting, they promoted bilateral format, while according to some US press, the United States wanted a triparty with the participation of Ukraine.

But for the Russians it was no go scenario and therefore had to give it up. Of course, it would be better for us to have Zelensky, or at least someone on our side, but because we have already many multi -level contacts with the Americans, we will not lose it from it, ”the expert sums up.   According to the political scientist, an expert of the United Ukraine Center, Petro Oleshchuk, the US President, according to him, began very technically to "go" on the topic of the summit on Alaska.

“It looks like Trump is already in finding the culprit why everything is not able to reach peace. It is clear that the culprit is not him and his friend Witcoff, but apparently Ukrainians. The day before, Trump said that he would be clear to him in the first minutes of meeting with Putin. But in fact, I think, everything is quite clear.

He just cannot come out and frankly say, "Excuse me, I entrusted negotiations with the Russians of the idiot and under the influence of this idiot inadvertently appointed a meeting, and now I got into a mess and I do not know how to get out of it, so I will not recognize it, but I will blame everyone and everything - first and foremost.

"  Commenting on the activity of European allies of Ukraine, the political scientist also pointed to their fears: “It should be understood that Trump is a sufficiently specific object for conversation. You say something inadvertently, he will then be offended and a problem will be created on a flat place. And this, I think, is caused by some caution and softness of Europeans - they are still waiting.

But it is clear that it is impossible to wait for a long time and Trump needs to draw "red lines" to talk to Putin. It is obvious that the video of the summit on August 13, initiated by Chancellor Mark, is just called to solve this problem with the definition of "red lines", - Petro Oleshchuk emphasizes.   The expert considers the expert at the summit on Alaska at Alaska. On the one hand, the political scientist notes, a priori is unacceptable to decide something without Ukraine about Ukraine.
