Apartment as a "rescue plan": in Ukraine a new trend in the real estate market has emerged in Ukraine

To spread: Ukrainians have changed approaches to the purchase of apartments after a full -scale invasion of the Russian Federation. Housing in Ukraine is now not only an investment and a roof over your head, but also an "insurance" in case of deterioration of the situation on the forefront and strengthening of hostile offensive and shelling. In the military realities, the acquisition of a new home in relatively "calm" regions is a potential rescue plan.

In a comment to Ukrinform, the President of the Association of Specialists in Ukraine (AFNU) of Ukraine (AFNU) said that some families buy apartments in other cities as a "airbag" that can be used if it is too dangerous to live at home. The AFNU observes the emergence of a new "trend" in the real estate market. For example, Ukrainians from the Dnieper buy apartments in Ivano-Frankivsk, close them and return home.

"In anticipation - if it is dangerous to live, at least they will be able to take their relatives into their own dwelling," Olena Gaidamakh explained. According to AFNU president, these buyers are in no hurry to move to a new home, although they give a lot of money for it. Such an apartment is a "safety pillow" that gives peace for the future, and can stand empty months and even years.

This approach is significantly different from the pre -war when housing was either a place of residence or a source of income. She added that this trend increases the demand for housing in relatively safe areas and creates a new type of investment in the real estate market - in the possibility of rapid evacuation. We will remind, the media on May 15 wrote that in Ukraine the prices for housing had changed dramatically. The apartments in Odessa and Zhytomyr went up the most.
