From missiles to air defense. What weapons will produce Ukraine in 2024

The Ministry of Defense for 2024 will receive a budget for 1. 16 trillion hryvnias, of which more than 265 billion will go for production and repair of weapons. Publicly announced plans for the modernization of the S-300, "Beech", Neptune missiles, however, in addition, joint ventures with world companies are being created. Ukraine is betting on the development of MIC. MPs approved the budget for 2024 on November 9.

Focus analyzed what will be with the Ukrainian defense-industrial complex next year: what weapons will be made by Ukraine, and to which the most funds from the defense budget will go. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that next year financing will be 1. 16 trillion hryvnias, which is almost half of the whole budget in 2024. How to compare with 2023, the defense sphere will receive less money, because, given all amendments, this year, the defense sector was financed by UAH 1. 2 trillion.

Also, local budgets will take away funds from the personal income tax (PIT), which remained 50% on the ground. From next year to the end of the war, the funds from the PIT will be distributed at the state level. The bill was already signed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. From the allocated UAH 265. 6 billion in the plans of the Ministry of Defense to order from domestic manufacturers of weapons and equipment for more than UAH 190 billion.

The main priorities are: President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the Ukrainian industry has now reached the production of 6 Bogdan's SAU for the month - the same indicators in the French with the Caesar SAU. Recently, Ukrainian development has received an important update - a reward that accelerates the work of the machine. In addition, the defense forces plan to buy 750 units of combat armored vehicles of different types.

The specifics in the Ministry of Defense did not name, but added that in 2024 the production of mortar mines will be increased at several times and the production of unnamed shells will begin. The problem is that at the military-industrial complex saved for years, so not all enterprises have proved to be able to establish mass production in a short time. Because of this, Ukrainian enterprises will be able to partially meet the needs of the troops.

Also in Ukraine are working on the creation of a more long -range version of the Neptune missile, which was "taught" to attack land goals. According to the media, designers want to achieve a range that will allow you to destroy targets in Moscow. For launches for land purposes, the rocket had to change the head of the homing, as well as to change the weight of the combat part to please the increase in the amount of fuel.

The naval version of "Neptune" destroyed the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation "Moscow", and the ground version was beat for military purposes in temporarily occupied Crimea. Separately, the Ministry of Defense emphasizes on the production of air defense in Ukraine. Russian invaders have increased production of drones-Kamikadze Shahd, as well as accumulated about 1000 rockets for shelling of the Ukrainian territory.

Western systems have been intensified by Ukraine's air defense systems, but S-300 SPRs, BUKS and others still play an important role in protecting against Russian attacks. In Ukraine, the C-300 and Beech anti-aircraft missile complexes are working on modernization. The Air Force stated that the Soviet Buk integrated US RIM-7 SEA Sparrow and AIM-9 missiles. The American industry is able to convert 6 SPRs per month. The Creation Project is called Frankensam.

This will solve the problem with missile shortages for the complex because it is made in Russia. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine also reported that they will produce both portable anti-aircraft missile complexes and SPRs with a range of more than 100 km. Currently, the armed forces operate about 70 models of drones and more than 20 types of ammunition for them. They produce almost 200 companies. The arsenal has all types of models, from reconnaissance to shock drones and drones-Kamikadze.

A special task, which is voiced in the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, is the counteraction of UAV. 6 samples of ERB have already been admitted to operation, including trenches of radio electronic struggle. According to the media, the occupiers are at times overtaking Ukraine in the volume of FPV-oules. Currently, Ukrainian manufacturers produce nearly 50,000 FPV-punks per month, but at the same time the need is estimated at 200,000, the journalists say.

Ukraine has a Brave1 defense cluster and other initiatives for new developments and manufacturers. However, in the industry, you need to deal with staff shortages and produce more parts in Ukraine. The Ukrainian leadership also creates joint ventures with the companies of the event, and also has joint projects with them.

It is publicly known about the creation of production: in addition, Kyiv and Washington will hold a conference of defense industries to continue the International Defense Industrial Forum. Ukraine wants to deepen cooperation with the US on cooperation. The result of the first weapons forum led to the creation of the Alliance of Defense Industries for the production of weapons. It includes 60 manufacturers from 23 countries.

In November, the media wrote that the United Kingdom and the US were supplying new experimental weapons to Ukraine. Kiev has already received the Terrahawk Paladin from MSI. The British also created a hybrid SPR with AIM-132 missiles. Initially, the air -air rocket was processed for launches from the ground. It is worth noting that despite the budget, Ukraine needs support for partners and the US in particular.
