The fall of the rocket in the Polish village: Germany returns three Patriot divisions from Poland

Together with Patriot, about 300 Bundesver soldiers were stationed in the Polish city of Zamosc and protected an important nodal station connected with the Ukrainian rail. Germany stops the placement of three Patriot Air defense divisions in Poland in almost a year. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the country, Sky News reports. Along with Patriot systems, about 300 Bundeswehr soldiers were stationed in the Polish city of Zamosc, located about 50 km from the Ukrainian border.

Patriot protected a critically important nodal station connected to the Ukrainian railway. The German leadership decided to place several Patrioth batteries in Poland after a resonant case in the Polish village of Pshevodau in November last year. According to the investigation, the Ukrainian air defense rocket, which was tried to knock down the Russian rocket, rejected from the course and fell on the territory of Poland.

The decision on Patriot was made against the background of fears that hostilities could extend beyond Ukraine. But in August this year, the German defense department was warned that they did not plan to extend the initiative for longer than a year, since these "Patriots" will either need either NATO for a rapid response for 2024 or have the necessary maintenance and repair. Already on Friday, German soldiers will complete their operations in Poland, and next week they will be relocated.
