Ready to give up two regions: Putin hinted to Trump about readiness for territorial concessions of the Russian Federation, — WP

Share: Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed to US leader Donald Trump the possible return of two partially occupied regions to Ukraine — Zaporizhzhia and Kherson region. However, in exchange he demanded full control over another area as a condition for ending the war. The Kremlin leader hints at exchanging the occupied parts of the Zaporizhia and Kherson regions for the entire territory of Donetsk region.

This was reported by The Washington Post on October 18, citing sources familiar with the matter. During a recent phone call with Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin demanded that Ukraine give him full control of the Donetsk region as a condition for ending the war. At the same time, the Kremlin leader hinted that he could give the occupied parts of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions to Ukraine instead.
