Stolen from the USA: Where did the Russian jet UAVs come from and how to shoot them down

JET CABS OF THE ENEMY — A WEAPON OF AERIAL TERROR With the appearance of the aggressor's CABs (adjusted aerial bombs) with a jet accelerator, Ukrainian cities located 150 km from the front line are turning into front-line cities. That is, the enemy gets a THEORETICAL (I will explain further) opportunity to attack these cities and their critical infrastructure every day not only with Shaheds and missiles of various types, but also with aerial bombs weighing from 250 to 1500 kg.

This is a great destructive force, Kharkiv, unfortunately, is a confirmation of that. That is, from the regional cities, Poltava, Dnipro and the suburbs of Kyiv fall into the affected zone. In technical terms, the under-empire simply copies the design solutions of American developers, meaning the GBU and JASSM guided air bomb projects.

Initially, a body kit with wings was developed for various air bombs in the aggressor, which increased the flight range to 40–70 km depending on the height of the drop from the aircraft. Now a jet engine has been added to the bodywork, and the range, provided that the engine works normally, increases to 200 km. I want to note that the Americans use a turbojet engine, which actually turns the products of the JASSM project into air-launched cruise missiles with a range of up to 800 km.

The enemy still uses solid-fuel engines, actually accelerators, and the range is much less. But work on the use of turbojet engines for KABs is underway in Russia. The accuracy of Russian anti-aircraft missile defense systems is determined by the use of satellite navigation and an optical recognition system on the final part of the trajectory. That is, the product is intended for strikes on large objects, such as TPPs, and on residential areas to terrorize the civilian population.

Modern missile complexes "Patriot", "Samp-T" and the like, as well as fighter jets with air-to-air missiles, are able to effectively counter anti-aircraft missile defense systems. The EW will affect the accuracy of the SAMs by deflecting them off their targets, but they will still fall and explode nearby.

Although information that the enemy is conducting such development has been appearing for two years, no specialized countermeasures have been created, not even, as far as I know, a technical task for this has been developed. Since such an anti-aircraft missile falls from a great height and at a speed that can exceed 400 km/h near the target, the interceptor drones will not charge anything, which once again confirms that they are not a "game changer" of air confrontation.

And finally, about something relatively pleasant. To date, the enemy is conducting only research and development tests of its jet KABs. There is no question of mass serial production and, accordingly, mass application yet. But in half a year, the anti-aircraft missiles will become a serious problem for us, if effective countermeasures, in particular, small surface- and air-based anti-aircraft missiles, do not begin to be produced right now.
