European officials want to create a company for the purchase of gas to the Russian Federation. In this case, there are risks, as Gazprom monopolist will consider this situation a force majeure and stop the current gas agreements. The reasonable conclusion from this state of affairs is to increase geopolitical tensions, confident in the EC.

But there is also the second option by which the European Union will be divided into red and green areas based on current gas reserves and disruptions with the supply of blue fuel. The country from the red zone will allow to buy gas in Russia at any price, and the green amounts will be limited. Brussels believes that in the second embodiment there is one disadvantage - the complexity of calculations. In the emergency situation, their red zones will supply gas in green.

Commenting on options for Russian gas prices, the head of Ursula von Der Liaien stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin was using energy as weapons, reducing supply and manipulating in energy markets. The European Commission will try to reduce the demand for peak loads, limit the prices for pipeline gas and help vulnerable consumers and businesses, von Der Lyen emphasized.

In Russia, they promise problems with the supply of gas at the North Stream, while the event retains sanctions against Moscow that influence the pipeline. The Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated that the problems in gas pumping began precisely because of restrictions.
