"Russians play with life": Zelensky reacted to IL-76 disaster (video)

According to the Head of State, Ukraine will insist on an international investigation into the fall of the Russian IL-76 aircraft in the Belgorod region. The Security Service of Ukraine investigates all the circumstances of the disaster of the Russian military transport aircraft IL-76 in the Belgorod region. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said this in the evening address on January 24.

"Called Umerov, Zaluzhny, Shaptal, Budanov and Baby - reported about the situation with plane and exchange. Obviously, the Russians play with the lives of Ukrainian prisoners, with feelings of relatives and with the emotions of our society," the president said. Zelensky reported that the SBU was investigating all the circumstances of the event, and GUR is engaged in finding out the fate of all prisoners. The head of state also heard the head and the General Staff on the use of the Air Force.

In addition, Zelensky ordered the Foreign Minister to pass on the partners about the catastrophe that Kiev owns. The President stressed that Ukraine will insist on an international investigation. "All clear facts need to be set. As far as possible, given that the fall of the aircraft happened in the Russian territory - out of our control," Zelensky said. We will remind, on January 24 Russian media reported that in the Belgorod region of Russia the military-transport aircraft IL-76 fell.

According to Russian journalists, the plane could have crashed in the Kryvyi Farm. Later, the Russian Media Readovka stated with reference to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation that 65 Ukrainian prisoners of war could be on board IL-76. The Russian defense department claims that the Ukrainian military was allegedly transported for exchange.

GUR Yusov, a representative of GUR Yusov in a comment to the media, that on January 24, Ukraine really planned to exchange captured prisoners with Russia. According to him, the information voiced by the Russian side that prisoners of war could be on the IL-76 plane, which fell near Belgorod, is now being checked.
