They did not spend half: MO Britain was accused of slow supply of weapons to Ukraine

British ministers have acknowledged that some of the equipment provided for in the signed contracts will not arrive in Ukraine by spring next year. The main cause of delays is called bureaucracy. The UK Ministry of Defense is accused of "slowness", as half of the £ 900 million from the International Fund for Ukraine has not been used in two years of full -scale invasion. The Guardian writes about it.

"Delays mean that only £ 404 million from the funds donated by nine countries have been allocated or spent," the material reads. According to more than half of the military fund for Ukraine, which is governed by the UK Ministry of Defense, it was not used due to bureaucratic delays in contracts.

Critics say that as a result of this, the UK Ministry of Defense slowly supplies weapons to the front, and the British ministers have recognized that some of the equipment provided for signed contracts will not arrive in Ukraine by spring next year. In particular, the shadows of Britain's defense, John Hili, accused the Defense Ministry that it is "in no hurry. " "Great Britain is the only one in support of Ukraine and against Russian aggression.

Since Russia is exacerbated British military assistance to Ukraine and the strengthening of NATO allies had the government and will continue to support Labor, "Hil said. According to representatives of the Ministry of Defense, the delays were caused by the need to evaluate each of the huge number of defense companies that participated in tenders for contracts.

The International Fund for Ukraine was established in August 2022 to finance military assistance and equipment for Ukraine after a full -scale invasion of Russian troops in February 2024. Nine states have made contributions to this fund: this fund is headed by the United Kingdom. It was conceived as a "flexible fund with a low level of bureaucracy", which is governed by the Ministry of Defense of that state on behalf of the executive group consisting of donor countries.

We will remind, on April 18, CIA Director William Burns warned legislators on the Capitol Hill that if assistance to Ukraine is not approved, Kiev can lose the war by the end of the year. On April 15, it became known that Ukraine will receive military assistance from Lithuania, Germany, the Netherlands and Canada.
