In Ukraine, the British anti-aircraft complex asraam with AIM-132 missiles (video) was first illuminated

Western experts noted that even in the ground version, the AIM-132 missile shows high maneuverability when defeating the targets that fly low and on small range. On October 4, the first-time frames of combat work in Ukraine of the British anti-aircraft complex of Advanced Short-Range Air-To-Air Missile (ASRAAM) using AIM-132 missiles (ASRAAM) appeared. Although the video was shot in the dark, Western observers from The War Zone suggested that the launch of AIM-132 missiles was launching.

"The video is shot in the dark, which complicates the identification of the system used, but one of the moments shows a characteristic Turel with sensors installed from above," experts wrote. The observers noted the peculiarities of application by the Ukrainian forces of the British SPR.

In particular, it was stated that the AIM-132 rocket was developed as a weapon of air base, and in this context, its characteristics benefit due to the high conditions of launch and kinematics of the starting aircraft. However, the staff from Ukraine emphasize the maneuverability of the AIM-132, even in the ground version, and for the purposes that fly low, at smaller range. All this testifies to the rapid response time of the system.

The comments to the video say that the system is intercepting one of the Russian drones-Kamikadze Iranian development, but it is not possible to confirm this on the video. The footage also shows the second rocket, released, apparently, from a separate system that affects the same goal. "This is a typical procedure for anti -aircraft missile systems that allows you to success," experts explained.
