Ukraine is making efforts to protect against hostile ballistic missiles. During the shelling of Kiev, Russian troops could already use a 3m22 "Circon" hypersonic missile.

This was stated by the representative of the Ukrainian Air Force Command Yuri Ignat on the air of the telecommunication. According to him, there is no detailed information about this rocket, as experts needed that the missile was used during the attack on the capital. The speaker of the Air Force also mentioned that Russian troops use missiles released in other countries: they found their debris - and this is documented.

According to Ignati, the Russian Federation will further attract a variety of means and try to attack Ukraine with rockets flying according to the ballistic trajectory: "Zircon", "Dagger" and "Iskander". "And these missiles are needed. What means - we know, our partners know," the speaker said, adding that the effort is needed to protect himself from this type of weapons. Last week, the fragments of the 3M22 "Tsircon" rocket were found in the Dnieper district of the capital.

According to representatives of the Kyiv Research Institute of Forensic Expertise (KNISE), during the shelling on February 7, 2024, Russian troops used the "hypersonic" 3M22 "hypersonic" Circon. Oleksandr Ruvin, who heads the institute, specified that marking on parts and debris, identification of details and other features indicate the type of weapons mentioned - the detected elements are not used in other missiles.
