Crimean traitor. SBU detained the agent of the Russians who turned out to be her expreigner

The former employee of the Security Service of Ukraine, remaining after annexation in the Crimea, became the FSB agent and carried out cyberattacks for Ukraine. The traitor of Ukraine cooperated with the Hacker group of Armagedon, which carried out more than 5,000 cyberattacks on state bodies and objects of critical infrastructure of Ukraine, the SBU press service reports.

According to the investigation, the former SBU employee betrayed the oath, remained in Simferopol and helped the Russian Federation to conduct subversive activities against Ukraine. Therefore, he will be tried for state treason, the indictment has already been transferred to court. According to the SBU press service, in November 2021, Ukrainian cyberfactors installed Armagedon hackers.

They were officers of the Crimean FSB, as well as traitors who crossed the enemy's side during the occupation of the peninsula in 2014. According to information, it is a special project of the FSB of the Russian Federation, which is aimed at "working" in Ukraine and which coordinates the 18th Center of the FSB of the Russian Federation (Center for Information Security) with a deployment in Moscow.

The attackers tried to penetrate the electronic system of planning of the Armed Forces and to organize the collection of intelligence. The SBU declared suspicion of 8 members of Armagedon, and the indictments were sent to the court against four hackers. In 2022, the NSDC decision on the imposition of sanctions for a period of 5 years with respect to eight participants of this group came into force.

Recently, Focus wrote that in early September, the United States in coordination with the United Kingdom imposed sanctions on eleven people who are part of the Russian cyber crime group Trickbot. Not only their names, but also the aliases, under which they work on the Internet, were named. It was also reported that Russian military hackers are attacking the mobile devices of the Armed Forces to find out combat plans.
