The Armed Forces will not stop their counter -offensive through the winter - isw

While Russia is preparing for the departure to the front of about 120,000 mobilized citizens, Ukraine, according to analysts, seeks to release as many territories as possible. The Armed Forces of Ukraine will not stop their successful counter -offensive due to the onset of winter. This is stated in the new report of the ISW War Study of November 10.

In particular, analysts call the erroneous assumptions of Western experts that due to the deterioration of weather conditions, the counter -offensive of the Armed Forces will go into a dead end. ISW believes that the onset of winter can harm the poorly equipped Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in Ukraine. However, well -equipped Ukrainian forces are unlikely to stop their counter -offensive and can take advantage of frozen terrain for easier promotion than in dirty autumn months.

"If the fighting and this winter stops, it will be due to logistics problems and the culmination of several campaigns on both sides. Ukraine holds the initiative and now wins a great victory in Kherson. The ceasefire will provide the Kremlin with a pause, which it so needs to restore the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation . The great victory of Ukraine in the Kherson region will not be the last.

The fighting will continue in the southern direction, in Bakhmut of Donetsk region and in the north of the Luhansk region, where Ukrainian troops continue counter -offensive operations, " - experts stressed in their new report. The ISW notes that while Russia is preparing for the departure to the front of about 120,000 mobilized citizens, Ukraine seeks to release as many territories as possible.

Summarizing, analysts add that the ceasefire will be profitable exclusively for the Kremlin, which will take advantage of the "break" to continue the genocide of the Ukrainian population in the captured regions. It should be noted that on November 11, the General Staff of the Armed Forces officially confirmed the release of 12 settlements in the Kherson direction.
