Dmytro Gordon - 58: the journalist's top 3 predictions about the war in Ukraine

Share: On October 21, the famous Ukrainian journalist and interviewer Dmytro Gordon turns 58 years old. He is known for his scandalous statements, and, in particular, his predictions about the Russian-Ukrainian war. On the occasion of Gordon's birthday, Focus recalled the predictions he had voiced in recent years — about war, Crimea, and even a missile attack on Russia. Further in the material are Dmytro Gordon's loudest predictions.

In December 2024, Dmytro Gordon predicted on the air with Slava Varda that Russia's war against Ukraine would end by the end of the same year. In his opinion, Ukrainian troops should have returned to their positions as of February 23, 2022. "I am quite sure that the hot phase of the war will end by the end of the year. . . We are talking about the exit of Ukraine to the borders on February 23, 2022. They will say to me: "Well, you gave it!".

No, I just know what I'm talking about," the journalist said at the time. However, the forecast did not come true. Gordon also assumed in June 2024 that Crimea would be deoccupied in a few months. "I'm not Vanga, I'm not Arestovych, I'm not a prophet and I'm not a clairvoyant. I'm just thinking out loud based on information from various sources — from the Ukrainian leadership to Western and military channels.

In my opinion, the war will end this year, and Crimea will fall within five months," said Gordon. This prediction also did not come true. Another loud forecast of the journalist concerned a possible attack by Ukraine on the territory of the Russian Federation. According to Gordon in August 2024, at a certain moment, Ukraine may strike Moscow or St. Petersburg, after which it will issue an ultimatum to Russia.
