A photographer who lost his daughter and three granddaughters died in Lviv during a rocket strike

Mikhail French is the father of Eugene Basilevich, who died with his daughters on September 4 as a result of a Russian blow to Lviv. At the age of 68, the famous photographer Mikhail French died in Lviv. UCU professor Bogdan Shumilovich reported on his Facebook page. Farewell to the photographer will take place on December 6 at 13:00 in the chapel on Orlyk Street, 6. The causes of death are not disclosed.

In the fall, as a result of a Russian rocket strike, the daughter of Frenchman Eugene Basilevich and three granddaughters-21-year-old Yarina, 18-year-old Darina and seven-year-old Emilia were killed. Mikhail French was born in Lviv in 1956. He studied with the art of photography with his father.

Subsequently, at the Faculty of Architecture of the Lviv Polytechnic Institute, and later received the education of the operator at the Kiev Institute of Theater Arts named after Ivan Karpenko-Kary, reports on the website of the Center for Urban History. The artist was the author of portrait series depicting many famous Lviv residents of the time. The works of Frances were included in history as an example of an alternative photo art of the 1980s.

His career was closely linked to a group of amateur photographers, which he founded with Lviv architects. They were engaged in the organization of exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad, but in 1984, because of criticism for "formalism" and "apolitical" Frenchzova were removed from leadership.
