The Russian Federation tries to accelerate Iranian Shahd: cheaper and uses Chinese engines

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine studied whipped drones and found many differences in the Iranian and Russian versions of the drone-Kamikadze. Russia is trying to establish the mass production of Iranian drone, which calls "Geran-2", reducing the cost of components and replacing electronics with the module of its own production.

About it reports Military Media Center, citing a briefing of the representative of the Trophy and Promising Weapons and Military equipment of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Our military carefully explored various whipped versions of Shahd drones and found that the Russian Federation, looking for simpler technical solutions, cheaper materials and adjusting the supply of substitutes, trying to establish the production of these drones-Kamikadze. However, said Andrei Rudyk, the new Shahd 136 is not fundamentally different from its deadly danger from earlier samples, and the identified differences demonstrate the desire for cheaper production.

However, it is an indicator that anti -Russian sanctions still operate and the occupiers have to engage in "import substitution". And the Defense Express portal has paid special attention to the type of new engine that Russians use for their ShahED-136.

Open access is that Micropilot Uav Flight Control Systems is located in Beijing, which already gives reason to say that this company is Chinese, and accordingly the Russians for their copy of Shahd-136 use copied from German original Chinese engines MD550, which For his part, Iran was copied. Defense Express writes that in the report for October 2022 from the Middle East Transparentnt even then it was suggested that Iranian Shahd-136 could use MD550 engines of Chinese production.
