Zelensky noted that the range of these missiles is about 5 thousand kilometers, while there is a "dead zone" of about 700 km. He emphasized that Europe, especially the countries of Eastern Europe, should carefully monitor the possible placement of launch complexes in Belarus. "They fired one shot, we believe that there are two more shots somewhere.
What is important here is that they want to deploy Oreshnyk in Belarus. We understand that they have a range of approximately 5,000 km and a dead zone of 700 km. Europeans, especially Eastern Europe, should pay attention to this," the head of state added. In addition, the head of state announced that Ukraine has handed over to its allies a list of 25 Russian manufacturers that are engaged in the production of "Oreshnyk" and are currently not under sanctions.
According to Zelenskyi, it is important to include these companies in the sanctions lists in order to limit the potential threat. The Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine added that up to three Oreshnyk missiles were manufactured this year, and the production plan envisages up to six units each year.
Also during the briefing, Zelensky said that the situation in the Pokrovsky area remains tense, but under control: about 170,000 Russian troops are trying to capture the city, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine are holding their positions and inflicting losses on the enemy. The president also denied rumors about the encirclement of Ukrainian troops and indirectly answered Putin that his intention to come to Pokrovsk will not change the situation and everyone understands how it could end.
