The "Flamingo" missile could indeed hit its target in the Russian Federation, although it is not clear how successful the strike was, Maksym Lyuksikov, editor-in-chief of the "Military" portal, explained on the air of "Radio NV". However, the wreckage shown by the Russians still causes some "skepticism", so it is not possible to say for sure that the strike did take place. . .

Lyuksikov commented on the question of a journalist who was interested in the possibility of using the Flamingo missile to strike Russian military facilities. It turned out that the Russians voiced two versions about the method of defeating the means of defeat, and therefore the information about it raises doubts. According to the first version, it was about the operation of the "Buk" air defense system, according to the second - "Pantsir-S1". Another remark concerns the nature of the debris.

In particular, in the photo of rosZMI there are some remnants of electronics, the authenticity of which arouses "skepticism" among analysts. " Meanwhile, if the missile was shot down, they should have shown the fragments of the warhead - after detonation or intact. Since the Russian Federation did not provide such evidence, it is not clear whether Ukraine launched the Flamingo missile, although the Russians seemed to confirm it, it sounded on the air.

"They did not demonstrate the key part of the warhead that they talked about and by which it could be said that the missile really went off or fell by itself and did not detonate. [But] there were already confirmations from the enemy's side of their use," he concluded. Another topic touched on by the representative of the milportal is the UMPB 500 kg rocket-propelled planing bomb, which began to reach 200 km.

Lyuksikov confirmed that the Russian Federation began using this munition as early as the spring of 2025 and hit, for example, Kharkiv, and then Lozova and even around Poltava. It is emphasized that this is a "deadly weapon" that the Russians can launch from a distance of 80 km from the front and hit at a distance of 100 km. It should be noted that on October 10, electronic debris that the Russians allegedly found in a forest area was published online.

RosZMI assured that the wreckage in the photo is the remains of the Flamingo missile, which the Defense Forces of Ukraine hit the military facilities of the Russian Federation.
