According to DeepState, the leaked maps contain data marked "DSK" (for official use), access to which is restricted, and their distribution without permission is a violation of security rules. Analysts note that the information on the Manka maps is significantly different from the data presented on deepstatemap. live, which creates risks for the planning of operations and the safety of personnel.
Experts emphasize that in some cases the marking of positions on the map may not correspond to the real state of affairs and serve only for the formal "maintenance" of settlements. Such inaccuracies often lead to delays in the withdrawal of units and additional dangers for the military.
For example, thanks to the coordination of volunteers and the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it was possible to organize the safe exit of nine fighters from Belogorivka, who held positions for too long in order not to mark the settlement as lost.
DeepState analysts point out that today the analysis of the front is complicated: "the last extreme line" has become a conditional concept, and its presence does not exclude the existence of active areas up to 4x11 km in size, where battles are taking place with the use of infantry, mortar units and engineers.
In addition, the other day, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrsky on Facebook emphasized the inadmissibility of concealing the real situation in reports and stated that commanders who falsify data cannot remain in their positions. The scandal began after Manko's photo, showing cards with the word "secret" on them, got into the network. Although the images themselves have been deleted, the screenshots quickly spread through social media and Telegram.
Public figure and volunteer Serhiy Sternenko emphasized that such publications can help the enemy determine the location of units and the nature of the terrain. Moreover, analysts of the OSINT project "Kyberboroshno" compared Manka's map with DeepState data and found discrepancies of up to 9 km in the Verbovoy — Berezovoi area.
