Turkey modernizes 11 naval platforms with ATMACA anti-ship missiles (video)

The winged ATMACA missile rockets with a fragile-fugitive warrior weighing 250 kg are capable of striking targets at a distance of more than 200 km, which was shown during numerous tests. Turkey's Navy began implementing a comprehensive initiative from the equipment of 11 naval platforms with modern anti-ship winged missiles (PKR) atMACA by 2027. The initiative will be implemented within the framework of the Turkish Defense Aerosmic Holding of the ROKETSAN and STM technological company.

About it reports Savunma Sanayi ST. Although the specific designations of the platforms are not disclosed, the contract between STM and ROKETSAN implies that ATMACA missiles can be easily integrated in a ship -built ship with STM. This means that ADA Class Classes, Class I and Modernized BarbaroS ships can be equipped with ATMACA missiles, which will significantly increase their combat capabilities.

The ATMACA missile complex, developed by the Turkish manufacturer of Roketsan, is a powerful and versatile tool for the defeat of marine goals. Having a long range of 220 km, the ATMACA rocket poses a significant threat to goals outside the direct visibility. The new PCR is equipped with a small turbojet engine of the Turkish production Kale 3500.

To accurately guide the rocket, it uses a combination of advanced technologies - a global positioning system (GPS), an inertial navigation system, a barometric high meter and a radar. The inclusion of an active radar seeker provides perfect accuracy of the fracture-fugitive warhead weighing 250 kg. Outside, ATMACA is similar to the American PKR Harpoon, the difference only in the design of steves and stabilizers. The rocket has already been successful.
