They were given to the relatives: in the Russian Federation the commission visited Ukrainian prisoners of war - Lubinets

The commission assured that all prisoners of war were receiving medical assistance. The Ukrainians were also given the opportunity to record videos for their families. In Russia, the Human Rights Commission visited 119 Ukrainian defenders who are now captive. On November 30, Dmitry Lubinets, the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights, announced this in his telegram-channel on November 30.

"This was done because of the mutual arrangements of the offices of the Commissioner in Ukraine and the Russian Federation. We visited the same number of Russian soldiers who are held captive in our country," Ombudsman said. He noted that office representatives talked with prisoners of war and made sure that Ukraine was in compliance with the Geneva Conventions. Dmitry Lubinets noted that they are fed, can work, provided with hygiene products and have the opportunity to go for walks.

Each of them was handed over humanitarian packages with things and products. "The Russians, in turn, communicated with our defenders. According to them, they also provide medical assistance and have been able to make phone calls to relatives. The captives of Ukrainian soldiers recorded a video message to their relatives who will soon pass to the addressees," Lubinets said. Recall that in Russia for 12 years imprisoned the Ukrainian military.
