According to information from the Russian defense department, the activities are aimed at maintaining the readiness of personnel and equipment to perform combat missions. In the territory of the Russian Federation began the third stage of non -strategic nuclear exercises. This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Defense of Russia.

According to the department, during the exercises hostile servicemen will have to work out the preparation of parts of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation for combat use of non -strategic nuclear weapons.

"As part of this stage of training, the personnel of the missile joints of the Southern and Central Military Districts will work out training and combat tasks of obtaining special training ammunition for operational-tactical missile systems" Iskander-M ", the equipment of them missile launches and secret nomination in the designated position. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation added that the personnel of the aircraft and space forces involved in training should work out the equipment with special combat units.
