People with a drug and alcohol addiction can be recruited to the Armed Forces: where will they serve (video)

Persons with different types of dependencies will not be allowed to serve in combat units. After passing the medical commission, they will be offered positions, told the executive director of the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Alexander Pavlychenko. Persons with different types of addiction, such as alcohol and drugs, are subject to mobilization.

They can be recognized as suitable for the army service, said Oleksandr Pavlichenko, the executive director of the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union on the Channel "Kyiv24". Alco- and drug addicts can serve in non-combat units. In particular, these are rear positions: providing logistics and medical care. The concept of such an idea is to reformulate all categories of diseases according to the standards of the International Classifier of Disease, Pavlichenko added.

It should be noted that Pavlichenko speaks of the order of the Ministry of Defense No. 402, which regulates the work of military-medical commissions. The document began to operate on May 4, it provides for the cancellation of the "limited" formulation for martial law.

This item was replaced in the following wording: "Suitable for service in military units, shopping center, military universities, training centers, institutions (institutions), medical units, logistics units, communications, operational support, protection". Men between the ages of 18 and 60, recognized as medical commissions earlier as "restricted" should be re -passed by the VVK. For this they are given 9 months - by February 4, 2025.
