"Russian Federation should receive security guarantees": Fitzo declared Putin's interest to meet Zelensky not in Moscow

To spread: Russian President Vladimir Putin is allegedly interested in meeting Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky "anywhere", not only in Moscow. At the same time, the Russian Federation also "needs security guarantees", as is Ukraine. At the same time, Volodymyr Zelenskyy is also ready to meet Putin. This was stated by Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo on September 6, as reported by the Slovak media Teraz.

He stressed that during a meeting with Putin, the Kremlin head told him about an interest in meeting with Zelensky "anywhere", and it should not necessarily be the Russian capital. Volodymyr Zelenskyy also expressed a "hint" for his willingness to meet Putin during a recent meeting, Fitzo says. At the same time, the Slovak Prime Minister believes that the meeting of leaders "will not bring much political benefit.

" "Even Zelensky's President would not be very politically helped if he met with President Putin, and of course, the citizens of the Russian Federation would not be delighted if President Putin met with President Zelensky," Fitzo emphasized. However, both leaders "understand that they need to meet," says a Slovak politician, because if the discussion of important things does not happen, then the war will continue.

The media also quoted Robert Fitzo's statements about Ukraine's accession to NATO and the EU. The Slovak politician excludes Ukraine's accession to the North Atlantic Alliance, but supports European integration because it considers the state "useful" for the EU. At the same time, the Prime Minister of Slovakia claims that not only Ukraine but also Russia should receive security guarantees.

Fitzo also again repeated the statements of Russian propaganda about the allegedly harassment of the Russian -speaking population in the eastern regions of Ukraine. In addition, Robert Fitzo stated that relations with Russia needed to be normalized. He believes that the restoration of active international cooperation with the Kremlin should take place immediately after the end of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
