In order to strengthen their defense, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation first transferred to Ukraine parts of the 25th All-Military Army. This was announced on September 13 by the UK Ministry of Defense Ministry. British intelligence notes that parts of the and 25th Army are most likely concentrated in the Luhansk region in the northeast of the country.
"As early as August 2023, the recruitment announcements to the 25th Reserve Army stated that it would be launched in Ukraine only since December 2023," the message reads. However, it is likely that the Russian command ordered to send to the front reserves of the previously planned term, feeling the lack of forces. There is also a chance that Russia will try to use parts of the 25th Army to create reserve forces to ensure more operational flexibility.
