Ukraine is looking for 200 thousand kits for the Armed Forces: NATO agreed to help - Spiegel

The Alliance is ready to provide Ukraine with almost 100 thousand sets of equipment - half of what the Minister of Defense Reznikov asked for the Secretary General of the Alliance Stoltenberg. Ukraine invited NATO winter uniforms and tents for 200 thousand soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the eve of the cold. Several alliance member states have already committed to equipment supply, and Germany wants to help Kiev in this matter. About it on Monday, September 5, writes Spiegel.

According to journalists, in July this year, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Alexei Reznikov, in a letter to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, called for winter clothing and tents for the Armed Forces servicemen as soon as possible - in particular, it is about warm shape and winter shoes. For several weeks, the United States, Canada, Sweden and Finland have promised Kiev to help with this. According to the first reports, almost 50% of Ukraine's needs can cover these countries.

At the same time, Germany wants to connect to the Armed Forces search process. At the same time, NATO countries can come across difficulties in finding equipment, since mostly winter equipment in most of them are reserved for internal use. Against this background, NATO suggested that the Member States replace their winter form-there is a fund of about $ 40 million for this purpose.
