New chess is a settlement in the Dobropilsky district of Donetsk region. The corresponding changes can be seen on the map of fighting. Also, Ukrainian defenders were successful in the villages of Nikanorivka and the Golden Well in the Pokrovsky district. The settlements are located south and west of the new chess, respectively. Instead, the Russian army advanced in the area of Novoivanivka village and in the village of Poltavka, Gulyaypil district, Zaporizhzhya region.

In the evening, the Armed Forces General Staff for October 1 states that the most offensive and assault actions were performed in the Pokrovsky direction. Here, the Russians have performed 32 offensive and assault actions in the area of 18 settlements. In the Novopavlovsky direction of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the forces of defense stopped 14 enemy attacks in the area of 8 settlements.
