When launching from an air of 300 ER, it is able to hit targets at a distance of more than 500 km, depending on the height and speed of the starting platform. This makes it a tool for deep strokes on the enemy's strategic objects, while remaining outside the area of the majority of air defense systems. The rocket is based on the solutions previously used in UAV-230 (created from TRG-230) and UAV-122 (based on TRG-122), but with extended characteristics.
Its length reaches 5 meters, weight - about 900 kg, diameter - 370 mm. It is likely that the warhead weighs more than 150 kg, which makes the rocket suitable for the defeat of goals such as team points, hangars, radars and ammunition depots. Among the potential platforms for combat use are F-16 fighters, capable of carrying one rocket under each wing, as well as heavy shock UAVs Akıncı, equipped with central nodes of suspension with a capacity of up to 900 kg.
However, 300 ER drones will be used, most likely, in a single copy due to weight and size limitations. Roketsan positions the new system as a more affordable alternative to winged long -range winged missiles. With similar combat capabilities, the ballistic 300 ER requires less logistics and production costs while maintaining a strategic effect. This makes the rocket attractive not only for the Turkish armed forces, but also for possible export customers in the region.
Evaluating this development, Defense Express reviewers noted that Turkey has now been included in the exclusive "club" of countries that have their own ballistic air base missiles. Given that Israel also has its own solutions in aerobalist missiles, a 300 ER missile with a range of up to 500 kilometers gives Ankara strategic parity.
