The Ukrainian fled from service and for almost 2 years hid from the Armed Forces: how he was punished

The resident was mobilized, but spent only a few months in the military unit. After prolonged hiding, he surrendered himself. In Ukraine, they were condemned by a cracker who has been hiding from the military for almost two years. This was known from the sentence of the Darnytsky District Court of Kyiv of June 17. A married native of Bortnychiv, who raises a child in 2008, was on the dock. On March 15, 2022, he was enrolled in the command of the military unit.

On the same day, the soldier was assigned to the position of machine gunner 3 of the Rifle compartment 1 of the Rifle Platoon 6 of the Rifle Company. However, the husband's service did not last long. Already on June 16, he disappeared without the permission of command and valid reasons. Until April 30, 2024, he spent time at his own discretion. However, after almost two years, the soldier himself came to the Kiev shopping center and declared himself.

In court, the man fully pleaded guilty and repented. He confirmed all the circumstances established by the investigation. The Ukrainian did not explain his decision to escape from military service. The court took into account the sincere repentance of the soldier. He was found guilty of unauthorized abandonment of a military unit or place of service and sentenced to five years in prison.
