According to Russian journalists, the Serbian authorities allegedly drew attention to the "destructive activity of" some citizens of the Russian Federation, as well as their "contacts with local opposition forces". Serbia intelligence services intend to deport a number of "protest" citizens of the Russian Federation. RT writes about it, referring to their sources close to the Serbian authorities.

The source of the publication stated that the release of Russians may be related to the active participation of opposition -minded Russian emigrants in protest actions against the results of the parliamentary elections in Serbia, which took place in December 2023. The publication states that the Serbian authorities allegedly paid attention to the "destructive activity of" some Russian relands and their "contacts with local opposition forces".
