Hundreds of apartments, elite cars, weapons: what found ARMA in the defendants of corruption scandals of MSEC

The head of the ARMA Olena Duma spoke about the first results of the National Agency in the search for assets of MSEC officials. According to her, a considerable amount of property was purchased during the war and registered with close relatives of the persons involved.

At request of law enforcement and anti-corruption bodies, the first assets of five persons involved in medical institutions, RTC and JV, VLK and the Medical and Social Expert Commission (MSEC) involved in corruption schemes were searched for the first assets and anti-corruption bodies. This was reported by the head of the National Agency Elena Duma.

It is about suspects in the forgery of medical documentation to obtain the status of a disabled person of conscription age, which allowed to avoid mobilization. As a result of the searches, law enforcement officers seized a number of valuable objects. Thus, ARMA was able to find the assets of five persons and their surroundings. Among the revealed: ARMA Chairman Olena Duma noted that much of these assets were purchased during the war and registered with close relatives of the persons involved.

"This is only the beginning. The National Agency has already provided requests for up to a dozen banking institutions to identify the assets of the persons involved in criminal proceedings both in Ukraine and abroad," the Duma said. She added that ARMA is ready to manage the illegally acquired assets of corrupt officials from the MSEC or any other spheres and awaits the relevant court decisions to transfer these assets to the ARMA.

We will remind, on October 22 President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed into force the NSDC decision on the activities of the MSEC. It envisages the elimination of medical and social commissions, checking their decisions and reforming the MSEC system in Ukraine. This decision was preceded by the detention of some heads of regional MSEC on suspicion of corruption. In particular, on October 4, the DBR exposed the head of the regional center of the MSEC Tatiana Krupa in Khmelnytskyi.
