Slovakia continues to assist Ukraine, despite changing political rhetoric in connection with the election of a new government last year. The President of Slovakia Zuzanna Chapotova said this during a joint press conference with the President of Poland Andrzej Duda in Warsaw on April 16, Ukrinform reports.

"We have a certain change in rhetoric concerning the government and the president, but in practical steps Slovakia continues to help Ukraine," Chapotova said. According to the Slovak leader, earlier all the governments of her country provided significant assistance to Ukraine, but now the opportunities were "exhausted" as Bratislava overdo "everything she could pass.

" At the same time, Chapotova emphasized that the current government of Slovakia continues other forms of support for Kiev, including military assistance on a commercial basis, as well as transportation of military assistance through its territory, training of Ukrainian servicemen and decision -making within the EU on the Russian Federation and sanctions.

The President of Slovakia also noted that Prime Minister Robert Fitzo is now focusing on infrastructure projects and the restoration of Ukraine. We will remind, on January 24 the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmigal stated that Slovakia has no more opportunity to transfer weapons from its warehouses, but Ukraine treats it "with understanding". At the same time, commercial cooperation will continue in terms of supply of weapons and equipment from Slovak business.
