Holding Russia: Poland wanted to accommodate US nuclear weapons

Polish politicians think about options for counteracting Russian nuclear threats. Only three NATO countries have a nuclear arsenal - the United States, the United Kingdom and France. Poland should place American nuclear weapons in its territory to counteract the threats of the Russian Federation. This opinion was voiced on the air of "Polish radio" by the head of the ruling party of Poland "Right and Justice" by Yaroslav Kaczynski. "This issue was raised in negotiations with US senators.

When I was in opposition, I also mentioned the program - then the answer was not positive. If the President (Andrzej Duda) has additional information on this issue, I will fully support it," Kaczynski said . This opinion was voiced in communication with Gazeta Polska, Polish President Andrzej Duda. The main problem, as he noted, is the absence of nuclear weapons in Poland and there is no guarantee that it will appear in the near future.

Andrzej Duda noted a successful dialogue about this with American leaders. The US believes that the prospect of this issue is open. Answering questions about Russian threats for the use of nuclear weapons, the Polish leader declared the inadmissibility of the emergence of "great" Russia. "If Russia starts a nuclear war, the guilty will be cursed around the world," Duda said.

In his view, Poland's participation in Nuclear Sharing should be considered as a work for the future to strengthen the country's security. Nuclear Sharing is part of NATO's nuclear restraint policy. Alliance member states that do not have nuclear weapons can place it in their territory under this program, participate in the planning of use and training. The agreements include the provision of nuclear weapons, aircraft and the necessary infrastructure, according to NATO's newsletter.

Three NATO member states have a nuclear arsenal-the United States, the United Kingdom and France. Only the states gave their weapons to other states within the program. "NATO nuclear restraint is based on the US nuclear weapons deployed in Europe," the Alliance said. Nuclear Sharing is involved in Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Turkey.

It should be reminded that in the White House they do not see Russia's desire to use nuclear weapons in a full -scale war with Ukraine, although Moscow continues to threaten and "clattering with weapons". Some military experts talk about the likelihood of using Russian nuclear weapons in Ukraine, based on the submission of Russian President Vladimir Putin about the threat of his state system.
